Achieve - Believe - Succeed is what we want all students at ABS to strive towards. In 2021 the Choice programme was introduced to the senior school and was very successful overall. From mountain biking down tracks, connecting with the community and becoming more knowledgeable during robotics and agricultural studies, to being on the stage displaying confidence and resilience during performing arts. These choices have continued to help ABS develop our localised curriculum, which is designed and driven by our current year 7 and 8 learners. It is closely guided and mentored by our Year 7 and 8 specialist staff.
The Choice programme will be timetabled each Wednesday and Thursday afternoon as students continue to develop their personalised learning pathway. The chosen options last for one term, at which point students move into a different area of the curriculum as they choose their next option.
