Assessment for Learning practices guide our teaching and learning at Ashburton Borogh School.. Learners understand where they are at in their learning and know what to do to achieve their goals. Teachers observe learning, support ākonga to identify next steps or common misunderstandings, present learning in a variety of ways, have learning focused relationships and incorporate reliable assessment tools. Teachers are able to notice, recognise and respond to the needs of all ākonga to ensure positive outcomes. We use research from leading researcher Dylan William to guide our practice.
