Our inquiry program at Ashburton Borough School is driven by concepts such as perspective, change, causation, and connection. Our inquiry is driven by these concepts with our tamariki taking the lead in discovering the meaning of the concept and how it links to our everyday lives. We are able to interweave most areas of the curriculum in our inquiries, building connections through maths, literacy, science, and social sciences, health and physical education. In our junior school the focus is often on the child and slowly builds to our school community, local community, national and finally international connections.
