The Ministry of Education recommends Sparklers.org.nz for ideas to promote family wellbeing. It has great ideas.
If you need any support with the above activities, please email your child’s teacher.
If you need other support, please reach out to either Hilary or your child’s teacher.
Zoom
To join a Zoom (video) meeting, click on the link that your child’s teacher has emailed.
If you haven’t used Zoom before, it will ask if you want to download an app, please do this.
If you have used Zoom before, please update when prompted, as they have updated their security settings.
Ensure that you are in a quiet place with no background noise.
When you join a meeting, mute yourself until it is your turn to speak
Te Reo for years 4-8
For a te reo Māori challenge/ activity, students could logon to quizlet.com and type 'kiwioutthere' in search bar (or click on the tab below for Quizlet.com) to find the various quizlets Whaea Kate has created. Children could do the activities and games with any of the sets they've studied. (There's Food, Jobs, Sports, Te Marae, Classroom Words & the Body sets there).
