School uniform
Ashburton Borough School has a compulsory uniform for all pupils.
Purpose
1. To identify the pupils as members of our school.
2. To encourage equality among pupils.
3. To encourage appropriate dress among pupils.
4. To establish a pride in being members of Ashburton Borough School.
Guidelines
1. All parents shall be informed of the uniform requirements when they enrol their child at school.
2. The uniform must be worn according to that approved by the Board of Trustees.
3. The Board of Trustees may consider a review or change to the existing uniform from time to time and will inform parents of these changes.
3. The Board may choose, if necessary, to form a Uniform Sub-Committee to deal with any issue relating to uniform that may arise.
6. Information regarding patterns, materials, new and second-hand garments will be available from the school office.
7. In the event of continued disregard for the wearing of the school uniform by any pupil, normal disciplinary procedures will take effect.
